Seasons in God

It's a new season in my life.
I am excited about the new directions that River City Church is going.
Kevin Beeson my pastor is a get the job done kind of guy, very pro-active.
So I am gearing up to seek God for fresh direction and to fulfill the things that God has called me to do.
I have a destiny.
And now there are new doors open to fulfill those.
I am going to Saskatchewan, in January after many years of absense.
To encourage the churches there and build up the lives of men that God has connected me with.
Thanks Lord, that's what I say.
It is good to be focused outward and looking forward to giving out.

Help me Father.

It's time to seek God, for all of us.
It's time to re-address ourselves to the divine destiny and call that God has upon our lives.
the temporary setbacks of failure and heartache cannot keep us from accomplishing what the Father wants us to do.
So press in and seek His face.
When we draw close and find Him,
He will strengthen us to accomplish His perfect plan.

Salem tour

George Miller, Bruce Brittson and I drove around and explored the Salem area for God. He's there and we were trying to find out if and where a new church might be ignighted.
While there we met with a pastor named John. It was a God appointment.
John is currently going through some of the most trying times of his life and ministry. Amazingly God gave us prophetic encouragement for him and while praying I felt we must pray for his physical condition. I wasn't aware of any physical condition or problems and he didn't mention any. But the Holy Spirit was insisting.
After sharing a vision God gave me for him. I saw him laying prostrate on the floor with his hands out and the Lord bringing the strings around him to him and placing them in his hands. I also felt like God said, I will vindicate you John, my beloved. As he was laying on the floor calling out on God, I felt like God was going to put many gifts into his hands that were not there before.
Afterwards, George began to prophesy as well. I don't remember what George said at the beginning, but I was so excited when he began to pray for his physical well being. I said, Yes!, George, Yes! So I also prayed for healing and especially for God's protection over he and his wife.
It was such a God'time. the power and presence of God were strong. I felt like we were there for that encounter perfectly in God's timing. thanks Lord.

Strange days.

Heat is on this summer.
Most of my time is
spent in the pool or
hiding in the cool
of my home.

My heart is stretched
joyful elation of helping others
and using the gift of encouragement.
and torn when I hear the discouraging unbelief
of one I love.

There is a war within.
There is a battle for our faith.
Help Lord,
It's all I can say.

It's all I can pray.
Help the ones I love
to work out the trauma.
When they call, help them
to find a way,
the better way.

Wipe the tears from their eyes
strengthen thier discouraged hearts.
Be the One who comes alongside.
Pour out grace and love,
without measure.
Father,
help me
help them.

Ecuador bound

I'm rushing around
trying to think of every detail.
trying to see all I need to see.
Only two weeks gone
to Ecuador, but much is needed to be done before.
no sweat,
no fear,
Jesus is here.

heats on

Seems like summer
heat is rising
running in the morning
seems the best time.
cool not cold, sweat runs down
Lord give me strength.
as I carry the weight.
Lord give me grace
as I plow the earth.
He is the sustainer of all.

stretched and counting

Each day there is a challenge.
We need to know how to get up right.
When we fall and we will fall.
But we need the wisdom of God to know how to get up right.
Lord, show me how to walk , in step with you.
give me ears to hear your voice.
show me how to say yes, continually.
challenge today, truth, repentance and transparency.
so be it.

Music

Amazing how music can sooth the soul.
gracious guitar.
Audacious adoration.
the warming sun penetrates the sky
we'll be in summer soon.
Fragrances flow: spring blossoms, lilac still blooms
dogwood too.
Iris splashing color throughout the neighborhood.
music of sound and sight and smell.
Ring, sing, celebrate.

Windblown

In the valley, it's windy and almost everything not nailed down has moved.
Found my porch chairs in a heap.
cover blown off of the 72 Triumph motorcycle.
Wind can be good, or...
depends on what your trying to hide or cover or do.
Wind can breath new life into your circumstances.
Wind can terrorize you.
There is 'breeze' and 'hurricane"!
Now matter what good can come from a good blow.
depends on how you respond and how you let it affect you.
Blow wind, blow.
